Lightning Elite Hockey came to life to fill the need for high-quality, elite training for hockey players in our area. We believe that if you can’t skate, you can’t play—so we start by perfecting your skating skills with an emphasis on edge control, stride lengthening, and forward movement. Our highly knowledgeable coaching staff builds on that solid foundation, guiding you through advanced techniques like stickhandling and shooting, along with all other crucial aspects of the game. After experiencing a camp, clinic, or private lesson with Lightning Elite Hockey, you'll step onto the ice with newfound confidence and strength, ready to dominate your next game or tryout!
WHO ARE WE?
Lightning Elite Hockey co-owners, Coach CJ Toscas and Coach JD Davis have both been playing hockey for over 30 years. CJ started at the young age of 7 with the Tri-Valley Blue Devils. He then progressed to the AAA Jr. Sharks at the age of 12. CJ continued to play on elite teams in the bay area, CA until age 18. He then found a passion for coaching, teaching kids from Tri-valley Blue Devils, San Jose Jr Sharks, Santa Clara Blackhawks, Vacaville Jets, Stockton Colts, GSE, and many more.
JD grew up skating on the frozen ponds of Michigan, where his passion for hockey began. After joining the military, he dedicated himself to growing the game by setting up and coaching numerous youth hockey programs, both inline and ice. Now based in California, JD has found his true calling—developing players and strengthening the local hockey community. His mission is simple: to get you into the sport, help you build a strong foundation, and open doors for your growth and success on the ice.
OUR COACHES
Our instructors love what they do, and it shows. Each one is certified in their field, and regularly attends (or leads!) seminars and workshops about new trends and techniques.
